The Strength to Guard

...Okay, after 3 weeks of camp and a week of Paige asking me why I do stuff I don't want to do, I've set a few goals for myself.

1. Run daily--I should have been doing this for years, but my feelings have gotten in the way of doing what's best for me.

2. Become a great driver--This will merit more explanation; see below.

3. When released from the prison that is High School, take a road trip to Alaska---Random? Absolutely. But not without previous consideration. I've always wanted to travel, but not as a rich kid with Mommy and Daddy constantly watching out for her. I plan to fly (drive) solo for this trip, but to do that I need to prepare.

4. Take auto repair classes, learn how to change a tire, ect.--Basically, I need to be ready for anything that might happen on the road. I'm willing to do whatever it takes.

5. Self defense--Same as above.

Today I was supposed to run in a track meet. I chickened out. I claimed a sore abdomen; understandable because I have kidney stones. *shock*

My friend Angie tried to teach me how to ride a bike today. I just couldn't do it, it was too hard. At the same time, I've never felt so pathetic. I'm 15, and I still don't know how to ride a bike. I absolutely refuse to give up, though. At one point I might have done so, but not now.

My track coach said I had guts and internal strength. I'm going to earn that description in everything I do.

Until then, I'm gonna get some rest. Track meet Wednesday...
